This is one of the best satirical impression shows I've ever seen, especially because the animation and voice talents combined both make the impressions work. The voice talents include from Dead Ringers Jon Culshaw and Jan Ravens. These two are probably my favourite of the series of impressionists. Basically they listen to latest news and make it into the joke with the help of the animated celebrities. Jon Culshaw does some of the best characters including: President George Bush, Tony Blair, Bill Gates, David Beckham, Mark from EastEnders, Robbie Williams, George Michael, Hugh Grant, Michael Barrymore, Dale Winton, Liam Gallagher and many more. Jan Ravens basically does all the females, these include: Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, Dot Cotton, Barbara Windsor, Delia Smith, Nigella Lawson, Cheri Blair, Sigourney Weaver, The Queen, Anne Robinson and many more. This is one of the best cartoons ever!

Two hours of this impossible to find Saturday morning cartoon. Originally produced by King Features for ABC. This two hour flashback includes oodles of Beatles songs. Fun stuff! Very good Picture and Sound from an original broadcast source with menu and chapter stops. Sound/Picture 9/10.

Chuck Norris has a team consisting of Pepper, a technological genius, Kimo, a Samurai warrior, Reed, his apprentice, Tabe, a Sumo warrior, and Too Much, the young ward. Together Chuck Norris and his team foil the plans of The Claw and his right hand man, The Super Ninja. Have a shot of booze everytime the announcer says - CHUCK NORRIS, we dare ya. Directed by Akinori Nagaoka, Minoru Okazaki 1980, TV. I recall stumbling across this to rent on the shelves of a Video Towne store in the mid-1980s, and the cover caught my eye. I took it home, popped it into the machine, and immediately experienced Deja Vu. This cartoon was based on Marvel Comic's monthly color series, "Tomb Of Dracula," from the early 1970s. Which is when and where the character of Blade made his debut appearance. I even still have the issues used as the spring board for the story. My memories are a bit dim, but it seems as if the box for this was sketchy on details, and I don't recall any mention of Marvel being made on the packaging. Too bad this is out of print, as it would be neat to see it again and see how it holds up. Maybe it could be reissued under the Marvel banner and given better promotion, as the film seems to have slipped by unnoticed. It's so obscure, even die-hard fans of Marvel and/or Japanimation/anime' often have never heard of it.

Far Out East. A cool new Anime. Dr. Tenma is a Japanese doctor working in Germany but sick of the politics he's forced to play by the muckedy mucks at the hospital he works at. One day a boy with a bullet in his head is brought in and, naturally, the good doc starts operating on him. In the middle of the operation a politician is admitted. You guessed it, the administration wants him to drop the kid and treat the politico instead. He doesn't and while his operation is a success, the politician's doesn't go so well... resulting in promotions as well as the good doctor's life falling apart. That is, until strange murders start happening that benefit the good doc....

Far Out East. Amazing Anime! Especially when you consider that this OVA was created entirely by one man alone. Amazing, huh? Intellectually challenging, eye-pleasing, and ear-soothing, all at the same time.

The tone of this movie is pretty surreal, the topic is basically coming to an understanding and embracing of the past, no matter how destructive. The setting is the moon, sometime in the future. Mankind has left the Earth (which has since then become dormant after some kind of unknown, unacknowledged cataclysm). Most people don't want to know about the past, they're content with the reality that they exist in, but our protagonist does. He works for 'The Bureau of Record Evacuation' who is an organization responsible for just that. However, what people don't know is that their reality isn’t what it seems.... Animation : The Silver Surfer, TV



Description:

Made For TV. Silver Surfer fans rejoice! The Silver Surfer was sadly, a short-lived animated tv series that aired on Fox in 1998 based on Marvel's cosmic hero.

It was one of the first animated shows to feature computer graphics, which works beautifully for the sleek hero, and surprisingly, the series was pretty true to the comic even harkening the art style of the great Jack Kirby. This may have contributed to the short run - it probably had too serious a tone for kiddies to take. After the first season's 13 episodes Marvel supposedly had a second season planned with another 13 episodes but unfortunately, despite the good ratings, Marvel was facing bankruptcy problems and couldn't afford to go ahead with a second season. Until the live action movie or FF2 comes out this Surfer's all we got. This is the complete series on 3 Dvd-Rs. A really good print from original broadcast sources with good menu with chapter stops.
